About Jackie Plank

Jackeline Plank began her career at Rhodes University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Media Studies in 1985. She opted to complete her Honors Degree in Psychology in 1986 before moving to the Rand Afrikaans University (now The University of Johannesburg) to do her Masters in 1994. She has also completed a number of supplementary courses to help her develop as a psychologist, such as Family Therapy courses, Ego State Therapy Training and more contemplative psychotherapeutic practices such as mindfulness meditation and yoga.

Jackeline currently runs her own successful practice at Kenilworth’s Knighton Surgery, where she engages as a Clinical Psychologist and Family Constellations facilitator and sees a range of individuals, couples and families for Ecosystemic Psychotherapy. She also sees corporate clients in her capacity as an associate for various Employment Assistance Programme consultancies both at her practice and various places of work.

Before establishing her own practice, Jackeline worked as a Clinical Psychologist and Assessment Consultant at various locations in Gauteng. She was able to assist the Gauteng Provincial Health Department, as well as Cotlands Baby Sanctuary, Syfrets, the Standard Bank Resourcing Centre and an Occupational Therapy Practice.

She then opened her first private practice in Gauteng, Northcliff, where she worked as a self-employed Clinical Psychologist, before relocating in 2002 to Cape Town to work at Crescent Clinic, a private psychiatric hospital in Claremont, where she saw clients for individual, couple and family therapy sessions for four years. She went on to practice at The Gable, a group private practice which gave her the opportunity to complete a two-year Family Constellations training course. During this time, she explored the BodyTalk modality of energetic healing and received training as a BodyTalk Access and an Accunect technician.

Jackeline attends and hosts workshops and courses constantly to develop her skills as a clinician. She is a highly skilled and competent Clinical Psychologist and is a registered member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Her long term goals are to complete a PhD, write a book and consult globally but her commitment is to run the best practice and to be the best possible practitioner for her clients.

Moeneeba Sedick

As the receptionist to various busy and diverse health care practitioners at Knighton Surgery, I describe myself as a resilient, polite, tolerant and hard working individual who has spent more than 10 years in the medical, psychiatric and psychological fields. I think it accurate to say I mostly have excellent people skills, work well with demanding situations and can juggle schedules and diaries like a good chef can flip pancakes!

Nanette Kensley

Nanette Kensley, stationed in Somerset West, is responsible for all the processing and collections of Jackeline Plank’s practice accounts. Over the years we have developed an excellent working programme that ensures the speedy submission and collection of accounts. I submit all medical aid claims directly to respective medical aids or administer accounts as per client needs.
